Frequently Asked Questions

When you purchase the right to use intellectual property from GrabFab, you're essentially buying a license to use that intellectual property in specific ways, rather than owning the property itself. Here's a breakdown of what this means:

1. License, Not Ownership:
  • What You Buy: You are buying a license, which is a permission or right to use the intellectual property (like the dxf cut file, detailed assembly instructions, parts lists, or any other form of digital content) according to the terms of the license agreement.
  • What You Don't Buy: You are not acquiring ownership of the intellectual property. The creator or rights holder, in this case, the individual store owner, or GrabFab itself, retains ownership, all rights, and control over the intellectual property.
  • Most products on GrabFab are available for individual use only, and are not transferrable or distributable.  Some products are available for Commercial License, and will be explicitly advertised as such.  If you see a product you would like to manufacture for sale, please contact CustomerSupport@GrabFab.com to inquire about obtaining a commercial license.  We will negotate with the owner on your behalf.
